Happy 2017!

Happy 2017 from Strong Roots Dental

06 Feb Happy 2017!

2016 went by so quickly and here we are, we’re half way through January already! We wanted to update everyone about the happenings around the office, and there has certainly been a lot going on.

First off, I welcomed my precious baby girl Roselyn Elizabeth into the world on November 18th and she weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz. I am so thankful that my sister, Dr. Melissa Eek, was here to work harder for you guys as I took time off to adjust to our new life with baby. Life as a mom has been tiring and busy and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world… and I think Rosey and I are starting to settle into our routine slowly but surely.

Secondly, you may remember our receptionist Dana, well, she is no longer with our office. She decided last year that she wanted to travel to India for a year and while we will miss her optimism, we wish her all the best in her adventure and look forward to hearing about her travel when she returns to Canada. On that note we are very happy to introduce you all to our new receptionist Jayme! She is a great addition to our team and we’re so excited to have her join us at the front desk.

Third, Becky has been away for the last year looking after her sweet little boy, Bryson, and we are excited to have her return full time come Feb! Both her boys have grown like weeds and we know she will find it hard to leave them for us, but we also know Grandma will love all the extra time with them.

The last point of interest to announce is that Dr. Melissa Eek got married in August so her name was recently officially changed to Dr. Melissa Cudmore! Now that she is married, her and her husband have made the decision to move across country to Prince Edward Island to be close to his family. I will be extra busy here without her, but we are hopeful they’ll miss wine country enough and return. I’m only half joking, we wish them success in their move and can’t wait to go out East for a visit someday soon.

We hope you have all been well and that 2017 has been off to a great start. If not, as I know some of you have mentioned the start of the year has been rough, here’s to better days ahead. We look forward to seeing you all at your next appointment!  ~ Dr. Kimberly Eek
