Year End Wrap Up

NewYear

26 Jan Year End Wrap Up

Well, time has gotten the best of me and my plan to write the goings on of all of us here every month has not been followed through with… but here we are, and better now than never!

As many of you know, I got married! Sept 12th James and I walked down the aisle at Summerhill winery. It was beautiful and absolutely perfect in my mind. For a little more on our big day, check out our photographers website, Barnett Photography.

Dr. Melissa Eek thought she would get a head start on the snow boarding season and joined the crowd on opening day. But her season was short lived, a fall resulted in a break in her wrist and I rushed her to emergency (yes, I was up there too!) where she received her very first cast. Needless to say, she is ready to get it off! But it did give her some time to think… and head over to the Domican to enjoy some sun.

Dana has been off on a silence retreat, gathering all her thoughts and mastering the art of self awareness. We are all blown away by how she can go for so long without talking! But she has come back refreshed and as lovely as ever, and even braved those nasty roads from Kelowna to Merritt. If you want to see dedication, come talk to Dana.

Becky will be leaving us for a year while she has and cares for her new little baby! Due Feb. 5th, she can’t wait to have number two, but we will miss her while she is gone (and if you haven’t heard, it’s a boy!). But not to worry, some of you may hear her voice on the phone as she is planning on still making sure everyone gets their appointments for their cleanings.

Stephanie scared us all over Christmas after she rolled her car. The miracle was that she crawled out and walked away from it! We were all so scared when we found out, but so relieved to find out that she was ok. She got to spend a lovely Christmas with her family back home despite the circumstances leading up to it. Before she left for home though, I got the chance to run the 5K Santa Shuffle with her on Dec. 5th supporting the salvation army. We had a blast!

Naomi has been counting down the days until she becomes Grandma again. She is so great with her current grandchildren and looks forward to adding one more to the growing family. She has also got to spend some time out in Nanimo and get away from all the cold and snow here.

Lori spent her first Christmas in their new home surrounded by family. They seem to be settling in well and having fun making those few small but fun changes around the house. The boys are both doing well and always seem to be having fun.

Marie has been traveling the roads of the Kootney’s sampling all the new snow at all the mountains. Her family is very athletic so they spend lots of time boarding and skiing. They are also working on designing the plans for their new home! It’s been in the works for a while and we all get a little jealous here when we get to see her picking out all the pieces.

So, that’s what we have been up to. We hope you have all been enjoying what each day brings and if you’re anything like us, I am sure you are all busy enjoying life. We look forward to seeing you at your next appointment and hearing about what you’ve been up to. We hope your new year has been off to a great start and that it only gets better from here.
